New Open Source ChatGPT Clone – Called Dolly

Open source AI Continues to advance with Dolly, a ChatGPT clone released by Databricks. Dolly, named after the famous sheep, is the latest product of the open source AI movement which seeks to make AI technology more accessible and prevent monopolization by large corporations.

It was created from an open source model by EleutherAI and Stanford University's Alpaca model, which was based on Meta's 65 billion parameter LLaMA model. Despite being smaller, LLaMA outperforms many top language models, and Dolly was created to demonstrate that a useful large language model can be produced with a smaller yet high-quality dataset.

Dolly is seen as democratizing AI and is part of a growing movement that includes Mozilla's recent founding of Mozilla.ai.
Europol sounds alarm about criminal use of ChatGPT, sees grim outlook

Europol, the EU police force, has raised concerns about the potential misuse of ChatGPT, an AI-powered chatbot, in phishing, disinformation, and cybercrime.

Baidu's Hong Kong-listed shares fell up to 4.5% as the format of the meeting was changed. The regular version of the app can produce factual errors and avoid answering political questions.
